founded in 2005, south china fisheries science (nanfang shuichan kexue) is a bimonthly academic periodical of fisheries sponsored by south china sea fisheries research institute, chinese academy of fishery sciences, and distributed in china and abroad.
scfs publishes original papers, research notes and reviews on aspects of fishery resources, fishing technique, fishery facilities, fishery environmental conversation, aquaculture and fishery enhancement, fishery organism disease, aquatic product processing and comprehensive utilization as well as fundamental scientific researches, etc.. scfs focuses on the new findings, new technique and new trends of fishery research of southern china, with high academic level, local traits, applicability and readability.
scfs has been the source journal for the chinese science and technology paper citation database (chinese scientific and technical core periodicals) since 2008. in 2011, it was elected as one of the rccse chinese core journals and listed in 2011 guide to chinese core journals. the journal was selected as one of the source periodicals of chinese science citation database (cscd extended version) in 2013 and cscd (core version) in 2015. since 2009, it has been indexed by seven famous international indexing systems, including chemical abstracts (ca), cambridge scientific abstracts(csa), zoological record (zr), food science and technology abstracts (fsta), centre for agriculture and bioscience international (cabi),viniti abstracts journal (aj), index copernicus (ic), directory of open access journals(doaj) and japan science and technology corporation (jst).
scfs is devoted to the publication of basic and applied research articles in a broad range of subject areas relevant to fisheries science, including fishery resource, fishing technique, fishery engineering, fishery environment protection, aquaculture and fishery enhancement, fishery organism disease, aquatic product processing and comprehensive utilization, and fundamental research of fishery, etc.
scfs provides current trends as well as studies on fisheries developments and related scientific information, preparing useful guidelines for researchers and academics.
